Prisma Color CherriesFor this assignment I was expected to pick from an assortment of photographs of different types of fruit & re-create the photo of the specific fruit of my choice on either a piece of white, gray, or black paper, with Prisma Color colored pencils. I was also encouraged to not only draw with the colors I mostly saw (red, black, white, & green), but rather with other colors as well, (like purple, yellow, blue, brown, & gray), that in fact do show up in very minuscule amounts in the photograph, which when those minuscule amounts of other colors are applied to the drawing along with the colors that are mostly recognized first, the drawing comes together & begins to look more & more like the real fruit, as one takes into consideration the small amounts of unexpected colors in the photograph, that should be displayed in the drawing of his or her piece, alongside the basic colors.
