A Reflection On My PortfolioI have been using my website; that is, my online portfolio, to project my opinions & thoughts on every art project that I have created for my high school art classes, & thus far, this has been a great advantage to me, as I have been able to recollect all of the thoughts, feelings, & ideas that transpired through myself through each journey of completing each piece of art. After I would finish each assignment for Ms. Rossi's class, I was able to use this website to reflect how I felt about the outcome of each project, & ultimately critique myself, in order to discover which experiences throughout certain paintings provided myself with new knowledge that I knew would help me to have a more efficient brainstorming & painting process with each assignment that I would complete in the near future. This portfolio has allowed me to share all of my paintings that I have completed in Ms. Rossi's class, as well as in my Visual Arts Beginning class from this previous school year, with anyone who wishes to view them & either read my thinking process behind each piece, or with those who prefer to just view & interpret such art. This portfolio has given me the opportunity to evaluate my performance throughout each painting & to discover what techniques I learned or ideas I had were beneficial to my process, & has therefore become almost like my artistic diary, where I can turn to, to look upon my improvement as an artist & use as a guide to see what information & mechanics helped me in the past, to great even greater art in the future.
